-Victorian #1254 Quadruple Plate Pairpoint Daily Bread Tray.
During Victorian times mealtime was a family event, and
breads or rolls of any type played a significant role in the
daily meal, hence the "Bread Tray". This particular one by
Pairpoint Mg. Corp. Ca. 1890 is a wonderful example of the
silver plate from the era. The phrase "Daily Bread" is
stamped in the center of the 7" x 12" tray, along with a floral
and leaf pattern. The scalloped border of the tray is
accentuated by a delicate etching. A Pairpoint tray
like this recently sold at Auction for $310.00.

Tins

This Sherman Bros. & Co's roll top commercial tea bin
is in good
condition considering it's age. There are some dings and dents
on this piece but the paint on this grocery store tole tea bin
is in reasonably good condition. These bins were produced after
tea's introduction to grocery stores. These containers which
were usually decorated with Japanned finishes came into use
around the Civil War era. Because of their limited number and the
demise of the country store, these are some of the most sought
after and expensive tea containers to collect. Slant tops or
roll bottoms are the most desirable... Price $575.00
