Mary Gregory Hand Blown Glass Pitcher. Mary Gregory glass, for
reasons that remain obscure, is the namesake of a Boston and
Sandwich Glass Company employee who worked for the company for
only two years in the mid-1800's. Although no evidence actually
exists to indicated that glass of this type was even produced
there, the fine colored crystal ware decorated with figures of
children in white enamel is commonly referred to as Mary
Gregory. The glass, in fact, originated in Europe and was
imported into this country where it was copied by several
eastern glasshouses. It was popular from the mid-1800's until
the turn of the century. It is generally accepted that examples
with all-white figures were made in the U.S.A., while
gold-trimmed items and those with children having tinted faces
or a small amount of color on their clothing are European. This
small ewer has a young man with what looks like a ball in his
hand; his face and hand are tinted. There is a rim chip and some
scratches around the top of the little pitcher. It in no way
detracts from the beauty of this piece. This piece is sold "As
Is"...Price $50.00

Carnival Glass and Stretch Glass

Newer Fenton Carnival
Glass Bowl made with the old formula in the Old Northwood Hearts
and Flowers Pattern. The original Hearts and Flowers pattern
made by Northwood intricate though it is was one of Northwood's
best and has been faithfully reproduced by the Fenton Glass Co.
Following the success of his student, Frank L. Fenton in the
iridized glass field, Harry Northwood marketed his first
Northwood iridescent glass. Originally produced in the early
1900's utilizing the Fenton process of iridization, Northwood
created their own formula for Carnival Glass. From about 1908
til the death of Harry Northwood in 1919, Carnival glass was the
great American "craze". Carnival glass was considered the "poor
man's" Tiffany. Fenton Glass Co. pioneered in the process of
iridization which took the mass-scale art glass field by storm
and "Carnival Glass" was born...Price $235.00

The base is in excellent condition with the exception of a small
rough spot around the top of the base where a bowl would

-Limited Edition 370/1000 Pulled Feather Barber Vase produced by
the Fenton Glass Co. in 1975. Robert Barber was the designer,
but the piece was signed DJF. "Robert Barber developed a
relationship as a resident artist at Fenton." He was given the
freedom to develop his ideas and express them in the glass
medium. In April of 1975 four of his creations were selected for
production and offered to Fenton customers as a limited-edition
collectible. Fenton dealers responded enthusiastically to this
new version of off-hand art glass... I also have 429/1000
available...Price $425.00 each

-"Cut Flowers" Vase. The mould for this piece
was designed in 2001 by Fenton master craftsman Dave Fetty for
the Connoisseur Collection. This one of a kind design starts
with pure Crystal rolled over crushed red glass and Mika flakes
and then reheated. More Crystal is gathered on top as the glass
magically changes to yellow with warm touches of orange and red
glowing through in random spots. Threads of black glass are
then pulled and twisted into a variety of swirls. The finishing
touch is a swirl of petals created by cutting the flared top
with shears. Each piece is an exceptional work of art. I have
two available. One is #258 out of 1450 and the other is #779
out of 1450...Price $325.00 each

-"Hanging Hearts" Vase. This mould was
purchased from the Chicago Art Glass Co. in 1991. Fenton
craftsmen Dave Fetty, Jim Ralston, and Bob Hayes have truly
recaptured the magic of Fenton Art Glass from the 1920's. Tiny
Dots of Cobalt on Willow Green Opalescent, are shaped into
hearts during several reheating processes. These vases were
limited to 1250 for the Connoisseur Collection 2000. I have two
available...One is #388 of 1250 and the other is #775 of 1250...
They originally sold for $250.00 each...Price $275.00 each

-"Favrene Feathers Vase" by Dave
Fetty. A skilled glassworker, Dave Fetty retired in 1999 after
more than 40 years in the glass industry. Dave came to Fenton
in 1964 after learning the trade in Milton WV, at the Blenko
Glass Company, where he began as a carrying-in boy when he was
19. Dave's mentor at Blenko was glassworker "Shorty Finley",
who taught Dave many of the skills needed to make glass off-hand
(without moulds)...In the mid 1970's, Dave worked with glass
artisan Robert Barber, helping to design and create some of
Fenton's first limited edition pieces. In 1998, Dave taught a
"pulled feather" technique to other glassworkers, and he
supervised them as they produces a vase for the 1998 Connoisseur
Collection...Even after his "official" retirement, Dave has
continued to contribute to Fenton. In addition to working
closely with the glassworkers who produced a "Hanging Hearts"
vase for the Connoisseur Collection, his contribution to the
Collection in 2002 was this "Favrene Feathers Vase". Two

Lovely Milk Glass Comport/Compote by Westmoreland with original
WG sticker. This wonderful bowl on pedestal is in excellent
condition having no chips or cracks; it would make a beautiful
centerpiece with fruit in it. Ca. 1950... Price $75.00

Originally produced in the 1930's this unmarked Robin on
Pedestal Base has all the characteristics of the opaline covered
dish with the robin on top which was made by Portieux in France.
Westmoreland Glass Co. also made these wonderful covered dishes
which were faithfully reproduced just like the originals in milk
glass. I believe this piece is probably Westmoreland because the
head of the robin is not solid like those that were made in
France, but rather hollow. Other than that they are identical.
This piece is in very good antique condition but there is a
rough spot on the tail... Price $135.00
